FIRST 44 S/Y TITI (2024)

Description

The FIRST 44 S/Y TITI, built in 2024, represents the natural evolution of BENETEAU’s performance range, forming a seamless link between the First 36 and the First 53. Designed as a true racer/cruiser, she successfully combines high-level sailing performance, elegant design and refined comfort, delivering unequalled pleasure under sail.

With the First 44, BENETEAU reaches one of the noblest expressions of modern performance sailing: a yacht that remains lively, efficient and perfectly balanced across a wide range of conditions, thanks to her generous sail plan, advanced hull design and race-inspired deck layout.

Exterior Design & Deck Layout

On board the FIRST 44 S/Y TITI, the deck is designed to maximize both performance and functionality. The cockpit is spacious and convivial, featuring a cockpit table and level access to wide, uncluttered side decks.

The sail handling layout is optimized for demanding sailing, with four winches, a fixed centerline mainsheet block and a mast positioned further aft to enhance sail efficiency. The modern sail plan is defined by a slender mainsail and generously sized foresails, allowing precise trimming and powerful acceleration.

Two 350-litre ballast tanks, electrically operated from the helm stations, allow the crew to optimize stability and performance depending on sailing conditions, fully unlocking the yacht’s potential in both offshore passages and competitive environments.

The hull, designed by Roberto Biscontini, reflects his scientific, America’s Cup–inspired approach. Through extensive simulations and iterations, he developed a powerful, well-balanced hull that, when combined with the sail plan, makes the FIRST 44 S/Y TITI consistently fast and responsive in all conditions.

Rig, Deck Gear & Performance Equipment

The FIRST 44 S/Y TITI is configured with a race-oriented deck and rig specification, designed for precision handling, minimal friction and maximum control:

  • Anodized aluminum tapered mast, deck-stepped, with 2 aft-swept spreaders (Sparcraft)
  • Genoa tracks on the coachroof with traveller and hauling lines controlled from the cockpit
  • German system (two-way mainsheet control at the helm stations)
  • All control lines led back to the helm stations (except boom topping lift)
  • Complete Dyneema running rigging, including:
    • Mainsail halyard sheave block
    • Genoa halyard
    • Boom uphaul (polyester) with cleat on mast
    • Mainsheet

Sails

The FIRST 44 S/Y TITI is equipped with a high-performance North Sails inventory, including:

  • Full-batten laminated mainsail with 2 reefs (53 m² / 570 sq ft)
  • Laminated genoa (53 m² / 570 sq ft)
  • North Sails NPL Tour, dark grey

The sail plan is completed by Facnor travellers, comprising:

  • 1 header traveller
  • 5 intermediate travellers
  • 5 batten travellers

A Gennaker type sail is available upon request and at an additional charge, offering enhanced performance in reaching and downwind conditions for experienced crews.

Interior Design & Layout

Below deck, the FIRST 44 S/Y TITI offers a modern, streamlined and luminous interior, blending white lacquered surfaces with moulded wood and refined upholstery. The layout includes three cabins and two heads, finished with quality materials that create a refined yet functional atmosphere.

In the saloon, the transverse table seats up to six guests and faces both the sofa and navigation station. Its position relative to the mast improves circulation between the galley and the owner’s cabin, enhancing the overall sense of space on board.

Expertise & Philosophy

The FIRST 44 S/Y TITI fully benefits from BENETEAU’s advanced engineering expertise and the collaboration of leading specialists. Development was entrusted to the Mer Forte design office, internationally recognized in ocean racing and also responsible for the Figaro Bénéteau 3.

Although yachts of this category are not typically intended for conventional charter use, White Blue Seas has deliberately invested in two FIRST 44 yachts, with plans for a third, addressing a highly specialized niche audience.

The FIRST 44 S/Y TITI is offered exclusively to experienced sailors and performance-oriented charterers seeking regatta participation, advanced training and demanding sailing experiences.

This is not traditional leisure sailing.
FIRST 44 S/Y TITI is about speed, control, technical precision and authentic racing sensations — exactly as envisioned by the shipyard.
